Coding Butterfly is an after-school coding and robotics educational program committed to providing students with personalized instruction and a hands-on learning experience.
We believe that the best learning experiences actively engage students and reinforce the desire to learn. As such, we strive to provide each student with a supportive environment and the enthusiastic encouragement that enables them to reach their full potential.
Coding Butterfly teachers utilize a variety of proven teaching practices in order to create student-centered classrooms that focus on building and expanding technological knowledge through teacher-led learning exercises, small group projects and independent skill building.
We keep our classes small so that teachers can personalize the learning experience and work closely with students as they explore new concepts and create projects that demonstrate a holistic understanding of what they’ve learned.
And while we work hard to provide students with challenging new ideas and information, we also recognize the importance of having fun while doing it! Our commitment to high standards means that our students are able to master the materials and information as they put their imaginations to work and bring their ideas to life.
Coding Butterfly students represent a wide range of ages, abilities and interests. Students from 1st grade to 8th grade bring their curious minds and love of learning to our program where our teachers are able to provide them with instruction and guidance on a personalized level.
Coding Butterfly students are able to practice world building, game design, and robotics as they put their knowledge to work. Our students engage in hands-on learning in small classes, which allows them the freedom to experiment with what they’re learning and apply the concepts to projects that engage and excite them!
Coding Butterfly teachers come from a wide range of educational backgrounds and career experiences, but the one thing they have in common is their love of teaching.
Our teachers are dedicated to not just teaching students the materials, but to engaging students in the process of learning and encouraging them to explore new concepts and ideas. The desire to reach every student at their own level means we keep our student-teacher ratio low (a maximum of 5:1 in every class) in order to allow our teachers to provide personalized individual attention to every learner.
Coding Butterfly teachers are passionate about robotics and coding, and they understand that transmitting the excitement they feel is an essential component for creating a learning environment in which students not only build and/or code, but are captivated by it.
